It’s no surprise that Australia remains a regular port of call for NZ tech companies. The latest Technology Investment Network report shows a slight increase in export sales by value to Australia by the top 100 Kiwi tech companies. (Up 1% to 26% this year.) Some clients want a local agency in Australia (we use our partner, Text 100). Others find it more practical for us to run a targeted media relations project directly from NZ. Although the Australian Financial Review is no longer published here, the availability online of the Aussie IT and business media means it’s easy enough to keep up with the news cycle across the Tasman. Of course the the usual media relations rules apply, i.e. relevance, impact, timeliness.
