What’s particularly fresh is that this is the first time I’ve seen personalisation (ie, YOUR name) embedded this comprehensively into a video. Personalisation (helped by the verisimilitude of the mock website and broadcast footage) helps the viewer relate to their actions – particularly effective for campaigns asking for a personal behavioural change.
Something like this would make a good ‘get out and vote’ campaign piece in New Zealand, regardeless of political persuasion.
