MEDIA RELEASE: A new public relations consultancy, Pursuit, has been created following the management buy-out of Text 100 New Zealand by senior consultants Paul O’Leary and Stephen Knightly. Pursuit will become the New Zealand licensed partner of Text 100, a global public relations firm with 32 offices worldwide.
Text 100’s Regional Operations Director Steven Murphy said this new business model will enable Text 100 to maintain a presence in the New Zealand market and provide continued support to its local and global clients.
“Over the past seven years we have employed some of the nation’s top consultants on our global campaigns. Our history includes many stories where the entrepreneurial spirit and passion of our people has led to new business ventures and explorations into new markets and we wish Paul and Stephen every success in continuing that tradition.”
In addition to public relations and marketing consulting, Pursuit will specialise in new product positioning, international programmes and online web 2.0 campaigns.
Pursuit’s clients range from start-ups, innovation exporters and professional services firms to New Zealand subsidiaries of multinational companies. Over half of Pursuit’s clients are New Zealand-based exporters with sales or marketing offices in the USA or Europe.
“Companies who are taking advantage of globalisation and the Internet as part of their business strategy want PR campaigns to match. We want to create campaigns here in New Zealand and deliver them to the world either using Text 100’s network or web 2.0 media,” says Paul O’Leary, Pursuit’s Managing Director.
Together Paul O’Leary and Stephen Knightly have over 12 years’ international experience in corporate and technology communications in Europe, Middle East, USA and Australia.
